Dr Mariska Stuurstraat is a Rehabilitation Physician and registered Fellow with the Australian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales in 2016 before moving to the Sunshine Coast to commence work as a junior doctor. Dr Stuurstraat gained experience at various public and private facilities throughout South-East Queensland as part of her specialty training in Rehabilitation Medicine. This includes the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Mater Private Hospital, Eden Private Hospital, as well as the specialty departments of the Spinal Injuries Unit and the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Dr Stuurstraat has a special interest in neurological rehabilitation, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and concussion management. She will further accept referrals for patients requiring musculoskeletal and general rehabilitation.

Dr Stuurstraat also has appointments at SCUH (Complex Concussion Clinic) and Eden Private Hospital (all rehabilitation care excluding concussion).
